Bumblejums Facebook Group...

There have been a few requests for news and updates to be posted via a facebook group so one now exists. Please feel free to join and invite everyone you know who you think might be interested in the group. It is an open group, just search 'friends of the bumblejums' from your facebook account and go ahead and join in!

2009 - The year of the Bumblejums!

We've been away a while and with good reason.. some of the Bumblejums team have been busy moving country and having babies! And here we are...2009. Happy New Year!

Over the next few months we hope to update the website, we've been busy recording some new music and there have been some exciting discussions about where else the Bumblejums might appear.. watch this space for updates!

Oliver and Mike have been doing some more great work designing some new characters which we should be able to unveil soon.

Books & Things...

It's been a busy few months since we launched the site. Many of you have taken the time to register and explore the cottage. Thank you so much for your time and support!

We have since begun working on the Bumblejum Books. The first adventure is very exiting and introduces some new characters!

There has also been some behind the scenes work going on at the cottage. We are working on the Bumblejum bedrooms and will let you know as soon as they are ready. There'll be fun and games!

And so it begins...

Well, after much hard work by each and every Halibonian, we are finally ready!

The doors are open, the curtain is up, the fanfare is playing and the lights are on. Halibo is now ready for its first vistors. We hope you enjoy your visit and tell your all friends! Bear in mind however, that the journey is just beginning...

As you discover more about Halibo, you will find that there there is more to this land that meets the eye. Over time the story will unfold so be sure and register to keep up to date with the adventures of the Bumblejums!

Nearly there....

The final preparations are being made and we will soon be able to welcome you to Halibo.. Everything will be spic and span when we open the doors. We are very excited...

Anyway the wind blows....

And now on to Jay... the one who makes the wind blow faster or slower!

Useful trick if you have a field full of windmills to keep moving.. Jays windmills come in many colors and provide another valuable source of power for Halibo.

Jay is the youngest of the family and as you might imagine, being the youngest, he has a slight disposition towards daydreaming. He likes spending time gazing through his telescope or looking up at the clouds thinking about all the things one thinks of when gazing at the sky!

Unlike the rest of us mere mortals however, he is able to make things a little more interesting for himself by actually getting the clouds to change to whatever shape he fancies!

What's not to love about little Jay...

Gem..

Gem is the "cool cat" of the family which is funny as his special power is using the sun to heat things up or cool things down, the solar kid.

He likes nothing better than surfing bright sunbeams and showing off his latest tricks! Gem, being the bright spark he is, also knows how to harness the power of the sun.. keep an eye out for his solar sunflowers!



Gem is also pretty nifty on the guitar and can often be seen chilling out at the end of the day, strumming a few chords, watching the sun go down. I told you he is a cool dude!

Incidentally, since the last post, the music (including a guest appearance from Gem) is coming along. We should have a title track to post shortly..

Websites and Music...

The Website is coming along nicely, Mike and Oliver have been doing some fabulous work building the landscapes and imagery. Here's a sneek preview of Jo in her element!




We here in Halibo are getting excited about going live.. Can't wait to see Halibo come to life online. Of course life needs a soundtrack so some recording is being done this week. The theme tune has been written and is waiting to be recorded.. I only hope it matches the quality of visuals! I'll post an announcement of the go-live date for the site nearer the time.

In the meantime.. Have a very Bumblejum Christmas and New Year.. remember to recycle that gift wrapping!
